DEATH OF INNOCENCE - FAMILY HISTORY

My family, like most families came to this country from other country's, all searching for the same thing, freedom, and land to settle on and work. The family names in my research are Greene, from Ireland, Chrisman, and Bruning from Germany, and the McAlexander's from Scotland. These families were strangers to one another settling in different parts of the country; Alabama, South Carolina, Missouri, Tennessee, and Texas.

But as I point out in my book "Death of Innocence", all of my families, like all other families were tied by an invisible line. This line would one day come together through their children, at a special place set by fate on the eastern plains of Colorado. Because these five families survived the Civil War and other hardships long enough to continue this line, my mother and my father met in a tiny dance hall in Colorado in 1927 and were married a short time later.
